The Right Voice Makes a Difference

It’s important your customers know they have reached you on the telephone, and that you’re ready to take their call. If your customers don’t know they have reached you because they only hear a ringing tone, they’re not likely to talk to you. To be honest, if you hear a ringing tone and/or a message that tells you you’re in a queue but doesn’t identify the company, it’s likely you will be put off and chances are you will hang up. Telephone messages on hold are so important because they communicate to customers and potential customers, and they can help to make or break a transaction. This is why it’s so important to get things right by having a tailored message that tells your customers who you are, and someone will be with them as soon as possible.

The Right Message

The right message will be tailored to your company, and let your callers know they have reached you. The right message will also inform callers of any offers and deals you have taking place if you wish. Think about when you make a call, the company is likely to have a message explaining you have reached them and they may even give you a list of options to choose from so you can be “Put through to the right department”. While you wait to speak to someone, it’s likely you will be reminded you’re in a queue too. you’re given this message because in the past people have hung up as they’ve been waiting and not had any indication as to how long it will be before someone talks to them; it’s also likely they thought they’d been ignored or forgotten about.

 Reaching Your Customers

There are a lot of different ways for you to reach your customers and let them know exactly who you are and what you do. You can choose to make them aware of your fabulous new offers by placing big signs in your windows, by printing out leaflets and asking your staff to wear t-shirts with news of the latest offers printed on them. You can do all these things, but there’s also another avenue you can take too. You can effectively broadcast details of your offers, your best selling products and so much more, by using the power of in store radio. When your customers hear about fabulous offers in-between their favourite music tracks, they are likely to take more notice than they would take notice of a leaflet posted through their door. A radio message will encourage those who are already shopping with you to go and look elsewhere in the store. This means they will be diverted from the section they were ‘Just browsing’ in, to the section that has all the new offers, or your new range of products. This way, you can be sure your customers will hear of your great new deals, which means they’re more likely to spend money with you. This is proof that having the right voice on the radio, or even on the telephone works, and it can work for you.
